THE HEART AND MIND BEHIND THIS EVENT!
Shanda Webster-Glasgow is an exceptional individual who graduated with a 4.0 GPA from the prestigious H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. With a passion for baking, she has honed her skills to perfection and has become known for her delectable creations.
Not content with keeping her talent to herself, Shanda came up with a brilliant initiative to celebrate the baking community throughout the Caribbean. This initiative is none other than the Caribbean Baking Awards event. The primary objective of this event is to recognize and honor the immense talent that exists within the baking community across the Caribbean Islands.
The Caribbean Baking Awards event aims to bring together talented bakers from all corners of the region. Through this event, Shanda seeks to shine a spotlight on the artistry and skill that goes into creating mouthwatering baked goods. By showcasing the best of the best, she hopes to inspire and uplift aspiring bakers, as well as promote the rich culinary heritage of the Caribbean.
What sets the Caribbean Baking Awards event apart is its philanthropic nature. Shanda's vision for this event includes giving back to her alma mater, the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. Proceeds from the 2-days event will be donated to support a student attending the college's Culinary Baking Associates Program in Culinary Arts. By doing so, Shanda aims to provide opportunities for aspiring bakers to receive quality education and training, ensuring the future growth and success of the baking community.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Caribbean Baking Awards is a celebrated leading publication in the sugarcraft and cake decorating industry.
When this vision started I have always been about promoting talented individuals with skills in cake decorating and sugarcraft.
The Caribbean Baking Awards is the first of its kind in the Caribbean, dedicated to talent in cake decorating and sugarcraft. We are excited to be holding this two days event on the 16th & 17th of February 2024 to bring the cake world together for two fabulous days of events.

They will have to use the colors or depict their Island culture and give a history of their Island through their 2 or 3 tiered cake.
